CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team beat University of the Ozarks 2-0 Thursday afternoon in Clarksville. The win improved the Cru to 12-3-1 on the season and 9-1 overall while the Eagles fell to 6-9-2 overall and 3-5-2 in league action.
Kat Parker gave UMHB the lead in the 22
nd minute, scoring off an assist from
Taylor Marques to give the Cru a one-goal advantage. Parker scored again in the 60
th minute off an assist from
Amanda Carlough. UMHB outshot the Eagles 16-3 in the match, led by Parker with six and
Madison Link,
Amanda Carlough and
Chelsea Graham with two each.
Courtney Craig earned the win in the goal for UMHB, making two saves in the shutout victory. Kiara Henry took the loss for the Eagles, making eight saves with two goals allowed.
UMHB closes out the regular season with a 5 p.m. match at the University of Texas at Tyler on Saturday, October 29
th.
