Box Score Belton, TX – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team beat Concordia University Texas 5-4 Friday afternoon in Belton. The win improved the Cru to 2-6 on the season and opened American Southwest Conference play at 1-0 while the Tornados fell to 1-6 overall and opened league play at 0-1.
UMHB opened the day with two wins as
Ashlee Montgomery and
Sarah Sedory earned an 8-1 win at No.1 doubles and
Elizabeth Ostroff and
Tara Pergande earned an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles. Montgomery also earned a win at No. 2 singles while
Hope Nash and
Shannon Kelly both won in No. 5 singles and No. 6 singles, respectively.
The Cru returns to action on Friday, April 1
st in a 3 p.m. match against U.T.-Dallas at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center in Belton.
