Mary Haridin-Baylor Athletics

Box Score Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team rallied in singles only to see the comeback fall short in a 6-3 loss to U.T.-Dallas Friday evening in Belton. The UMHB women fall to 2-7 overall and 1-1 in American Southwest Conference play on the spring with the loss. The Comets improve to 3-7 overall and 2-0 in the ASC with the victory.
 
Elizabeth Ostroff and Hope Nash teamed for an 8-2 victory at #3 doubles as UMHB trailed 2-1 entering singles play. Nash added a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #6 singles and Tara Pergande posted a 6-0, 6-4 win at #5 singles, but that's as close as the Cru would get.
 
The UMHB women will return to action with a 10:30 AM conference match against Howard Payne University on Saturday.
