Box Score Abilene, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team trailed after doubles and could not make up enough ground in singles as the Cru fell to McMurry University 7-2 Friday afternoon in Abilene. UMHB drops to 4-9 on the spring with the loss while the Warhawks improve to 9-10 with the victory.
UMHB picked up a 9-7 win at #2 doubles from
Elizabeth Ostroff and
Ashlee Montgomery.
Haley Hicks would add a 6-3, 6-4 victory at #4 singles for the Cru to provide the other point in the match.
UMHB will now close out the regular season with an 11:00 AM match at Hardin-Simmons on Saturday in Abilene. The Cru women have already clinched a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament.
