BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team fell 3-0 to No. 5 Trinity University Monday evening in Belton. The loss dropped the Cru to 2-1 on the season while the Tigers improved to 2-0.
UMHB and Trinity went into a scoreless half time with the Tigers outshooting the Cru 5-4. The game remained scoreless until the 58
th minute mark when Brent Mandelkorn scored off an assist from Christian Sakshaug to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Kellen Reid followed that with a goal at the 62
nd minute mark off an assist from Francisco Vasquez before Austin Michaelis scored the game's final goal with an assist from Mandelkorn.

Javier Zaragoza took the loss for UMHB, allowing three goals with six saves. Todd Whittaker earned the win for the Tigers, playing 80 minutes with no goals and four saves. UMHB took eight corner kicks to the Tigers' six in the contest.
The Cru returns to action Friday, September 9
th in a 7 p.m. match at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin.
