Women's Tennis closes out play at ITA Southwest Regional

Tyler, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team closed out play at the ITA Southwest Regional Tournament Saturday afternoon in Tyler.
 
In flight "B" consolation singles, Shannon Kelly fell to McMurry's Symphony Munoz 6-3, 6-1.
 
In flight "C" main draw singles, Grace Igarta opened the day with a 3-6, 6-3, 11-9 win over Howard Payne's Rosie Cardena. Igarta then fell to Rachel Maloy of U.T.-Tyler 6-0, 6-2. Payton Burk fell to Concordia's Camille Kempf 6-3, 6-1.
 
In flight "C" consolation singles, Haleigh Johnson beat Schreiner's Haylee Floyd 6-4, 6-0 before falling in the Semifinals to Kiara Jones of McMurry 6-2, 6-4. Jessica Moore dropped a 6-2, 6-0 decision to Grace Mason Heimer of Hardin-Simmons.
 
In flight "B" doubles, Igarta and Montgomery fell in the second round 8-2 to Graham and Hammond of Hardin-Simmons.
 
The tournament runs through Sunday and is being hosted by the University of Texas at Tyler. The ITA Regional closes out the fall tournament schedule for the Cru women.
