What is your career goal and why?  Â
My career goal is to graduate the nursing program here at UMHB and becoming a registered nurse in order to be a caretaker.Â
Why did you choose UMHB? Â
Soccer is what ultimately led me to UMHB. The commitment both Coach Bankhead and Coach Allen showed to the program here really convinced me to attend.Â
Tell us about your journey in your faith.Â
As a freshman at UMHB, I didn't really have a belief and I lived my life on my own away from God. It wasn't until April 10, 2018 that my life really took a turn for the better and toward the Lord. It was then that I allowed God to come into my life and save me from my old ways of sin. At that point, everything in my life seemed to be going downhill. Coach Bankhead encouraged our team to go check out Revival. Revival changed my life and helped me seek the Lord for help and guidance. It helped me grow as an individual and allowed me to reconsider my values in life. Since revival, I have been more involved with learning about God through his word and spending more time with other people who are also seeking to live a life of Christ.
Tell us about Cru Soccer over the last four years.Â
Cru Soccer has allowed me to explore, travel and build relationships with guys that have played a big role in helping me mature as an individual. Every year, it is sad to see the seniors move on an dgraduate, but at the same time I am thankful that God introduced them into my life. I am blessed to be a part of a great program that no only wants us to succeed on the field, but also wants to build great individuals that represent what UMHB has to offer. Coach Bankhead teaches us more than just soccer. His plans are to build men to become great husbands, fathers and bosses. That idea has stuck with me since freshman year and will be a reminder throughout my life on who God wants me to be. The best memories I have of Cru Soccer is always when the team is together and enjoying one another's company through good and bad moments. The biggest lesson I took and will take from this program is that life is so much more than just sports. It's precious and every moment you get to be with the Lord and his people is a blessing and should be cherished.Â
