Women's Soccer earns 3-0 win over Ozarks

CLARKSVILLE, Ark – The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor women's soccer team earned a 3-0 road win over University of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon in Clarksville. With the win, the Cru moved to a 4-2-2 overall and 3-0 in conference while the Eagles fell to 3-4-2 overall and 1-3-1 in ASC play.
 
Caitlyn Shaughnessy scored the game-winner for UMHB in the 25th minute with an assist from defender Sydney Rangel. UMHB outshot the Eagles 9-1 in the first half and did not allow a shot on frame. The Cru held onto the one-goal lead until Chelsea Graham scored back-to-back goals in the 83rd and 89th minute to extend the lead.
 
Graham led the Cru with eight shots and six on-goal as the Cru 19 of their 16 shots-on-goal. The Crusader back line held the Eagles to only two shots and just one on frame in the full 90-minute contest. Goalkeeper Emmy McMaude had one save and earned the win for the Cru, while Kiara Henry made 13 saves in the loss for Ozarks
 
UMHB resumes play on Thursday, September 27th in a 5 p.m. game against Belhaven University at the UMHB Soccer Fields in Belton.
