RICHARDSON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team picked up a couple of singles wins, but could not overcome an early deficit as the Cru fell to regionally-ranked UT Dallas 7-2 Saturday in Richardson. The loss drops UMHB to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in American Southwest Conference West Division play. The Comets improve to 7-1 overall and 1-1 in the ASC with the win.
Cole Weiss won in three sets at #4 singles and
Alex Mackellar posted a straight set win at #6 singles to account for the Cru's two wins. UMHB will now return home to host Sul Ross State in the ASC West Division home opener next Friday at 1 pm.
