Women's Tennis closes out play at ASC Individual Tournament

ABILENE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team closed out play at the American Southwest Conference Individual Tournament late Saturday in Abilene. The tournament was the fall opener for the Cru women.
 
In flight "A" singles, UMHB's Victoria Rendon finished with a loss in the seventh place match. In flight "B" singles, Nathalie Galligan won fifth place with a victory over ETBU's Cassidy Wilcoxson. Amanda Almanza finished eighth in flight "C" singles for UMHB and Alondra Torres Diaz added an eighth place finish in flight "D" singles.
 
Reilly Fletcher took seventh place in flight "E" singles and Lauren Hammonds added a sixth place finish in flight "F" singles play. Sydney Andersen fell in the seventh place match in flight "G" singles, Macie Dehnisch took sixth place in flight "H" and Laurel Turco added a sixth place finish in flight "I" singles.
 
Rendon and Galligan took eighth place in flight "A" doubles. Almanza and Torres Diaz finished seventh in flight "B" doubles. Fletcher and Andersen teamed for a sixth place finish in flight "C" and Dehnisch and Turco took seventh place in flight "D" doubles.
 
The UMHB women will return to action with the ITA Southwest Region Tournament in Abilene next Friday through Sunday. That tournament will also close out the fall schedule for the Cru women.
