HOUSTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team won a couple of matches, but could not overcome a doubles deficit as the Cru fell to St. Thomas 7-2 Saturday in Houston. UMHB is now 1-5 on the spring. The Celts improve to 1-6 with the victory.
Reilly Fletcher and
Sydney Andersen teamed for an 8-6 victory at #3 doubles for the Cru.
Amanda Almanza also won at #4 singles after her opponent retired following Almanza's 7-6 victory in the second set. The UMHB women will return to action with the start of American Southwest Conference play at Sul Ross State on March 21
st in Alpine.
