 What is your career goal and why?    
I want to be a Nike Marketing Director. I want to contribute to the way we view women in sports and women who work out.  

   Why did you choose UMHB?   
It is close to home, a very nice campus and I heard a lot of good things about my major and the type of jobs graduates have the opportunity of getting. 


Tell us about your mom. 
My mom is the strongest woman I know. She stands strong in faith and that is my favorite thing about her. She was diagnosed with cancer in February 2020, around my birthday. The process has not been easy but seeing her get up every day with a smile lets me know she will be okay. She has not complained once or given up throughout this whole process. It has been stressful, but my family has gotten closer and I also was able to lean on my teammates. They have been there for me through it all.


What is something you have learned from this? 
My mom has taught me to be grateful more than anything. Luckily, her tumor was small and we caught it early. For me and my family, we have been through this before with my grandma, so we knew to be thankful and prepared for whatever God has in store for us. Overall, this has changed the way I treat others. You never know what others are going through so I have made it a point to always be kind and patient with others whether they show you the same respect or not.
