ALPINE, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Men's Soccer Team earned a 3-0 win over Sul Ross State University Thursday afternoon in Alpine. The win improved the Cru to 7-3 on the season and 5-0 in American Southwest Conference action while the Lobos fell to 3-4 overall and 0-3 in league play.
Seth Neveloff netted the game-winner for the Cru in the 18
th minute off an assist from
Ethan Buchanan.
Bode Bleamaster added an insurance goal at 34:29, sending UMHB into halftime with a two-goal lead. The Cru added one more goal in the 74
th minute from
Anson Abshire to complete the 3-0 win.
UMHB totaled 12 shots in the contest, putting 10 on frame. Bleamaster led the Cru with three shots with all three on frame. UMHB's defense allowed the Lobos just nine total shots and only two on mark.
Dalton Lloyd pitched the shutout in goal for the Cru, making two saves.
UMHB returns to action on Saturday, October 9
th in a 3:30 p.m. contest at Howard Payne University in Brownwood.
