BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor fought off darkness and several tiebreakers as the Cru edged LeTourneau University 6-3 in UMHB's season opener Saturday in Belton. The Cru is now 1-0 to start the season while the loss drops the YellowJackets to 1-2 on the spring.
 
The UMHB women are scheduled to return to action with a pair of matches in Sherman next weekend. The women's match against UT-Rio Grande Valley on Monday has been canceled.
