BROWNWOOD, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team swept through doubles and then controlled the singles matches on the way to an 8-1 win over Howard Payne Wednesday in Brownwood. The Cru built a 3-0 lead in doubles and then swept #2 through #6 singles to claim the victory. UMHB is now 5-1 overall and 2-0 in American Southwest Conference West Division play with the victory. The loss drops HPU to 0-11 overall and 0-2 in the ASC West on the spring.
 
The Cru will return to action with a non-conference match at Southwestern University on April 8^th. That match is a reschedule of a match that was postponed in February due to weather issues.
