BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team saw a rally in singles fall short as the Cru dropped a 6-3 decision to McMurry University Saturday in Belton. UMHB picked up wins at #2, #5 and #5 singles from
Katy Beach, Victoria Redon and
Alondra Torres Diaz, but it was not enough to pull out the win. The Cru falls to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in American Southwest Conference West Division play with the loss. The War Hawks are 4-5 overall and 1-0 in the ASC West on the season.
The Cru women will play a pair of matches next week. UMHB will host St. Thomas for a non-conference match on Friday afternoon before closing out the weekend with a key ASC West Division match at Concordia Texas Saturday in Austin.
