BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's tennis team was edged by St. Thomas 5-4 Tuesday afternoon in Belton.
Alejandro Omana and
Cody Aaron fought back from an early deficit to take a 9-8(2) win at #2 doubles.
Mark Vinson added a three-set win for the Cru at #5 singles, but St. Thomas took singles wins at lines 1-4. The Celts were playing with just five players in the line-up so UMHB also won by default at #3 doubles and #6 singles.

The Cru men drop to 2-8 on the spring with the loss. The team will close out the regular season with a home conference match against Hardin-Simmons University at 1 pm on Saturday. UMHB has already clinched a berth in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament.
