Larry Harmon named AFCA Region 3 Coach of the Year

BELTON, Texas –University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football head coach Larry Harmon has been named the American Football Coaches Association Division III Region 3 Coach of the Year.
 
Harmon has guided the Cru to a 12-1 record this season and the program's eighth appearance in the NCAA Division III Football Semifinals. Harmon took the helm in January of 2022 and has guided a UMHB program that produced the American Southwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Offensive Lineman of the Year, Defensive Lineman of the Year and Special Teams Player of the Year. The Cru also ranks among the top-50 in Division III in total offense (13th), total defense (45th), rush offense (32nd), rush defense (28th), passing offense (39th), scoring offense (8th) and scoring defense (21st).
 
UMHB returns to action in the NCAA Division III Football Semifinals on Saturday, December 10th. The Cru will take on North Central College in a rematch of the 2021 Stagg Bowl at 2:30 p.m. (CT) in Naperville, Ill.
