HOME COURT! Men’s Basketball to host NCAA First and Second Rounds

BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Men's Basketball team is set to host the First and Second Rounds of the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Tournament this week in Belton.
 
"We are extremely excited to be able to host our pod in the NCAA tournament," Head Coach Clif Carroll said. "We had record crowds last week during the ASC tournament and we hope to continue that. We have the best fans in the country and this is our chance to show what Cru Nation is all about. The Cru is ready!"
 
The Cru won the 2022 American Southwest Conference Men's Basketball Championship and league's automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs. UMHB will host Trinity University, Chapman University and Whitworth University in the quad. Trinity and Whitworth will open the action in a 3 p.m. First Round contest on Friday, March 4th with the Cru and Chapman directly following at 5:30 p.m.  The winner of both contests will advance to the NCAA Second Round in a 5:30 p.m. contest on Saturday, March 5th.
 
UMHB will follow the NCAA minimums for tickets: $15 for adults and $10 for students, seniors and children (two and under free.) More information about the tournament will be posted on cruathletics.com as it becomes available.
