BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team finished a three-game sweep over University of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon in Belton. The win improved the Cru 12-3 on the season while the Eagles fell to 1-9.
Ozarks took a lead in the top of the fourth inning, scoring two on an RBI double from Lauren Gill. UMHB responded with three runs in the bottom of that frame to take a lead.

Lexi Harris.
Tyeann Johnson scored the go-ahead one batter later, stealing home for a 3-2 advantage. Neither team scored again, sealing the 3-2 win for the Cru.
Four Crusaders recorded one hit each while Harris and Wagner each added one RBI. UMHB totaled three runs on four hits with one error while the Eagles had two runs on four hits with one error.
Bayleigh Grogan earned the win in the circle for UMHB, throwing 3.1 innings with one hit allowed. Grogan struck out two of 12 batters faced. Mackenzie Lucio took the loss for the Eagles, throwing six innings with one strikeout.
UMHB returns to action on Tuesday, March 8
th in a 3 p.m. doubleheader against Case Western at Dee Dillon Field in Belton.
