BELTON, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team played the University of Texas at Dallas to a draw Saturday evening in Belton. UMHB moved to 12-0-1 on the season and 4-0-1 in league play while the Comets went to 8-0-5 overall and 1-0-3 in league play.
 
The first half played scoreless with UMHB outshooting the Comets 12-2 in the half. 
Mackenzie Worthy gave the Cru a lead in the 52
nd minute, scoring an unassisted goal for the lead. UMHB held the high ground until the 84
th minute when Ashlynn Thomas scored the equalizer for the Comets. UMHB got off six shots in the final six minutes of action and did not allow the Comets a look but was unable to score, ending the game in a 1-1 draw.
 
Jayme Dowell led the Cru with five shots while 
Kelsey White, 
Mackenzie Worthy and 
Ashley Vensel each added four. UMHB totaled 26 shots in the contest and limited the Comets to just five. The Cru put 11 total shots on frame as UT Dallas goalkeeper Jade Press made nine saves. 
Reagan Williams played the full 90 minutes in the net for the Cru, making three saves with one goal allowed.
 
UMHB returns to action in a pair of matches next week in Abilene. The Cru will face Hardin-Simmons University on Thursday, October 19
th before taking on McMurry University on Saturday, October 21
st.
