BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship Tournament, released Tuesday. The Cru also earned the right to host the first and second rounds of that tournament for the first time in program history.
UMHB went 16-1-1 this season, winning the ASC regular-season title for the second consecutive season. The Cru will host the first and second rounds in a three-game pod November 11th – 12th at the UMHB Soccer Field.
Emory University and UMHB will face off in the pod-opener on Saturday, November 11th at 5:00 p.m. Hardin-Simmons University and Trinity University will play in the second game with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. The winners of those matches will advance to Round 2, playing at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 12th.
UMHB is 2-1 against pod opponents this season, earning a 1-1 record over Hardin-Simmons and beating Trinity for the first time in program history.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors, $5 for students and free for children two and under. UMHB students will receive free admission with their student ID. Fields will open two hours prior to kickoff with tickets purchased at the gates. For more information, visit www.cruathetics.com.
