Hudson Johnson named NABC Region 10 Player of the Year

BELTON, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor senior Hudson Johnson was named National Association of Basketball Coaches Region 10 Player of the Year. He was also named NABC Region 10 First Team.
 
Johnson, a guard from Salado, was named ASC Player of the Year, First Team All-ASC and D3hoops.com First Team All-Region. Johnson led the conference with 566 points, averaging 20.2 points per contest. He was also the conference leader with 79 three-pointers, shooting .395 from beyond the arc this season. He also ranked top five in field goal percentage (.434), free throw percentage (.822) and assists (86). Johnson added 103 rebounds and 29 steals in his senior campaign, recording 16 games with 20+ points.
 
UMHB finished the season with a 21-9 record, winning the 2026 American Southwest Conference championship and advancing to the NCAA Second Round.
