MARSHALL, Texas — The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling team won the 2026 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association Division III Tournament Championship Saturday evening, taking down Concordia University Wisconsin for the Cru's fourth consecutive title.
UMHB opened action with a score of 36.425 in the Compulsory event, highlighted by a 9.450 in Pyramid. The Cru followed with a 28.075 in Acro, led by a score of 9.375 in Six Element, alongside a pair of 9.350s. The first half was rounded out with a 25.900 in Pyramid, with an event-high 9.875 in the Open heat, going into half time with a total score of 90.400.
Concordia began the meet with a 28.400 total in Compulsory with an event-high score of 9.450 in Pyramid. The Falcons then tabbed a score of 23.525 in the Acro event, along with a 26.000 in Pyramid to end the half with a total score of 77.925.
The Cru outscored the Falcons 27.275 to 23.200 in the Toss event, topping the scoreboard with a 9.475 in 450 Salto. UMHB added a score of 50.450 in Tumbling, highlighted by a 9.425 in the Six Element heat, with the Falcons trailing with a total of 40.525. UMHB sealed the 252.935 to 214.410 win after earning an 84.810 in Team Event over Concordia's 72.760.
UMHB also won 14 event finals, with sweeps in Acro, Toss and Tumbling. Natalie Podsednik and Jenna Hall were both named First Team All-DIII Tournament while Kasey Hedrick was named Second Team. Podsednik, Hall, Malia Erickson, Emily Kithil, Madi Lybarger, Claire Willis, Annie Battistella, and were all named to the Division III All-Academic Team.
This rounds out the season for UMHB, finishing with a record of 7-3.
