BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team earned a 4-0 win over East Texas Baptist University Saturday in Belton to win the program's first-ever conference title.
UMHB earned the doubles point with a come-from-behind win from
Emma Nordin and
Breanna Taylor at No. 2 Doubles after a 6-3 win at No. 3 Doubles from
Lori Bryan and
Avery Williams.
Breanna Taylor took the first singles win for the Cru, earning a clean sweep at Line 5 Singles.
Emma Nordin followed, taking a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles with
Avery Williams sealing the win at Line 6 Singles.
"I'm incredibly proud of the hard work and energy the team put in this year," Head Coach
Daniel White said. "They continually raised the bar throughout the season and are well deserving of this championship."
