CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team fell 2-0 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology Thursday evening in Cambridge.
MIT scored an early goal in the 16th minute, with Ayla Sumer giving the Engineers a 1-0 lead. MIT held that lead through the half, controlling play with a 5-1 shot count against the Cru.
The Engineers maintained that momentum, outshooting the Cru 11-0 in the second half. Madeline Seebeck added an insurance goal for the Engineers in the 87th minute, sealing the 2-0 win.
UMHB returns to action on Saturday, September 19th in a 12 p.m. (CT) contest at Brandeis University in Waltham.
