SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Trinity University Sunday in San Antonio. The loss dropped the Cru to 0-2-1 on the year.
Bella Park put the Cru up in the 35
th minute, scoring off an assist from
Gracie Ruthven for a 1-0 lead. UMHB held that lead through the half but the Tigers responded quickly in the second, scoring 57 seconds in to knot the contest at 1-1.
Trinity added another score in the 78
th minute to take its first lead of the contest and maintained that advantage to seal the win.
Audrey Harlien and
Bella Park led the Cru with two shots each, both putting two on frame. UMHB totaled eight shots in the contest with two on frame while the Tigers had 16 total shots and seven on goal.
Aubrey Tipton took the loss in the net, making five saves with two goals allowed.
UMHB returns to action on Friday, September 11
th in a 5 p.m. contest against California Lutheran University. That game will be played at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin.
