Biography
Dean quickly developed into one of the Cru’s top offensive threats last season. He should once again be one of the league’s top scorers this year. 2009-10: Dean was a Second Team All-West Division selection. He started 10 games and played in all 29. Dean led the Cru in scoring at 15.8 points per game and he grabbed 4.3 rebuonds per game. His 44 steals also led the team and he added 30 assists. Dean shot 38 percent from three-point range on the year. He reached double figures in scoring 23 times and topped 20 points five times. Dean scored a season-high 38 against U.T.-Dallas when he fell one three-pointer short of the ASC single-game record with nine three-pointers. He posted a double-double the following game against University of the Ozarks with 29 points and 11 boards. Dean was the Cru’s leading scorer 15 times and he led the team in rebounding twice. 2008-09: Dean played in 11 games at Dallas Baptist University. He averaged 11.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game and shot 42 per cent from three-point range. Dean led the team in scoring twice and in rebounding three times. 2007-08: Dean played in 16 games at Steven F. Austin University. He averaged 0.9 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. High School: Dean was an All-State basketball player at Lake Travis High School and he was a two-time District MVP. Personal: Dean is the son of Veronica and Greg Pele. He was born November 16, 1989 and is majoring in marketing and management at UMHB.
