2017-18: ASC Second Team All-West Division … Started in all 26 games for the Cru … totaled 404 points for a 15.5 point-per-game average … shot .314 from beyond the arc … brought down 63 rebounds … added 100 assists and 22 steals. 2016-17: Honorable Mention All-West Division … started in all 26 games … recorded the fourth-highest point total in a Division III season for UMHB with 517 … set new school record for free throws attempted (203) … led the Cru in points, field goals (157), field goals attempted (365), free throws (156), free throws attempted and steals (30) … scored a season-high 35 points at LeTourneau (Jan. 7). 2015-16: West Division All-Freshman Team … led the Cru with 15.2 points per game … hit a team-high 51 three-pointers … added 39 assists and 68 rebounds … had a season-high 28 points vs. Concordia Texas (Feb. 6th).
Demarius is a sports management major at UMHB. He played four years of varsity basketball at Killeen High School, where he was named District Newcomer of the Year, Second-Team All-District twice, First Team All-District twice and Sixth Man of the Year. He was also a member of AVID. Demarius is the son of Darrell and Carol Cress.
