Kiara is studying physical therapy at UMHB. She was an all-district basketball player at Cy-Falls High School, where she was also named All-Defensive Team. Kiara also participated in Young Life and FCA. She played two years of collegiate basketball at Northeastern Junior College and is the daughter of Adanna McElroy.
