2021: ASC Sportsmanship Team … played in 13 games … caught nine passes for 92 yards. 2020c: Academic All-ASC Team … split time between the varsity and junior varsity programs. 2019: Academic All-ASC selection ... appeared in all 13 games as a reserve wide receiver ... caught three passes for 16 yards ... also added one carry for two yards. 2018: Spent the year with the Cru junior varsity program as a quarterback. 
 
DJ was a District MVP and academic all-district football player at Bruceville-Eddy High School, where he also lettered in basketball and track. He is studying business management at UMHB. DJ is the son of Darrin and Peggy Weaver.
