Mary Haridin-Baylor Athletics

Chase is a business major at UMHB. He was a football and track athlete at Klein High School, where he led the district in sacks. Chase also ranked second in the state of Texas in sacks, ranking ninth in sacks for the Texas High School Coaches Association, ninth regionally and 88th in the nation. Chase was also a two-time first-team all-district selection and named Outstanding Defensive Lineman of the Year. In track, Chase was a Second Team All-National Team selection and First Team All-State selection. He also earned a pair of Second Team All-State awards and was an All-Greater Houston and all-district honoree. Chase was a two-time area winner in both shot put and discus. He was also a one-time regional champion and three-time district champion. Chase was also a member of the AB Honor Roll. He is the son of Omaric and Lola Battles.
