Biography

Chris is a criminal justice major at UMHB. He was a football, basketball and tennis athlete at George West High School. Chris was a three-time all-district selection, earning District 16 Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2025. He was also a two-time All-South Texas selection and collected a TSWA All-State award. Chris was also an All-Texas Team Offensive Lineman of the Year and earned South Texas Coaches Association All-Star Team honors. He was also an all-district selection in basketball. Chris was also a three-time academic all-district nominee. He is the son of Chris Bernal and Jennifer Bernal.
