Hunter Schmidt is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Cru after a standout four-year playing career. Schmidt will work with safeties this season. He was an All-ASC safety last season and also played wide receiver in his career. The Hockley native graduated from UMHB in 2016 with a degree in history. Schmidt played professionally in Austria last summer.
