J.C. Ramatowski joined UMHB as the school's first Strength and Conditioning Head Coach in August of 2019. He is responsibile for coordinating and overseeing strength and conditioning programs for all 15 of the Cru's varsity athletic programs.
Ramatowski comes to UMHB after serving as the Head Olympic Weightlifting and Strength Coach at Brave Enough CrossFit in Kansas City. Ramatowski also owned and operated Battleground Athletics Sports Performance Center, where he designed programs to improve performance for college and high school athletes. He has worked with professional athletes with the Sichuan Blue Whales of the Chinese Basketball Association and the Rio Grand Valley Killer Bees of the NAHL. Ramatowski has college experience after spending one year as Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Truman State University for one year, volunteering with strength and conditioning for the football programs at both the University of Missouri and Lincoln University and serving as the Head Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and assistant baseball coach at Spalding University.

Ramatowski is a 2008 graduate of Lindenwood University and he earned a Master’s Degree in exercise science from Concordia University-Chicago in 2019. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the NSCA and also holds Level 1 certification with United States of America Weightlifting. Ramatowski played college baseball at Lindenwood University, Wright State University and Maple Woods Community College. His wife, Lauren, is an assistant volleyball coach at Washburn University and the couple has a son, Tommy, and a daughter, Ella.
