Jaylon Roberts was promoted to a full-time coaching position in August 2023. He will work with the secondary.
Roberts is in his fourth season with the Cru, spending the last three seasons working with the secondary as a part-time assistant coach. Roberts has been part of three American Southwest Conference championship teams and one national championship squad during his time with the Cru.

Roberts has two previous coaching stops with Lorena ISD and Dripping Springs ISD. He has an undergraduate degree in biology from Tarleton State University, where he was a wide receiver for the Texans. Roberts also holds a master’s degree in sport administration from UMHB.
