Jordan Collins

Collins joined UMHB's coaching staff as defensive ends coach in Spring 2024. He comes to the Cru after five seasons at East Texas Baptist University. Collins started as defensive line coach at ETBU before being promoted to defensive coordinator for the 2023 season. Collins' defense totaled nine all-conference awards in 2023, including Defensive Lineman of the Year. The Tigers totaled 81 tackles for loss, 30 sacks, 12 interceptions, nine forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and six blocked kicks. 

Prior to ETBU, Collins spent one season as defensive line and assistant strength and conditioning coach at Albright College. He was also selected as a Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellow with the Indianapolis Colts in 2022, working directly under the defensive coordinator for the NFL preseason camps to learn new and innovative ways of coaching. 

Collins played collegiately at both Cisco Junior College and University of Incarnate Word, where he helped the Cardinals to a Southland Conference championship and a berth in the 2018 FCS playoffs. Collins graduated from Incarnate Word with a Bachelors in Philosophy, concentration in Pre-law, in 2018 and received his Masters Degree in Strategic Communications from ETBU in 2021. 

Collins is the proud son of Byron and Verlinda Collins and brother to Jared Williams and Janee' Collins.
