    Graduate Assistant Coach - Football
Mason Chapa is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Cru. He will work primarily with the defensive line. Chapa played defensive tackle for UMHB and spent three seasons as a Student Assistant Coach. He graduated from UMHB in May of 2021 with a degree in History. Chapa is currently working toward a master’s degree in sport administration. He is married to Katelyn Chapa.Â
