Nathaniel Hogge joined the Cru football coaching staff as a full-time assistant in July of 2014. Hogge came to UMHB from Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia, where he spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach. Hogge was the offensive coordinator for a Fork Union team that went 7-3 and averaged 35 points per game in 2013. He was the team’s receivers coach in 2012. Prior to joining Fork Union, Hogge spent four seasons as an assistant coach at The Citadel. He worked with wide receivers, tight ends and the offensive line during his tenure and also served as The Citadel’s recruiting coordinator in 2010 and 2011. Hogge was a graduate assistant at Oklahoma State University from 2005-2007, working with the offensive line and offensive quality control. Cody Fredenburg was also graduate assistant at OSU during that time and the Cowboys led the Big 12 in rushing in 2007. Hogge also served two years as a graduate assistant at the University of North Carolina, spending one year on each side the ball. He started his coaching career as a student assistant at Elon University in North Carolina for the 2002 season.
 

Hogge is a 2002 graduate of Elon University with a double major in communications. He also played four years of football for the Phoenix as an offensive lineman. He is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
