Nathaniel Jones joined the Cru as secondary coach in July 2022, coaching an All-American defensive back during his first season.
Jones came to UMHB after a season as special teams coordinator and cornerbacks coach at Loras College. Jones also has collegiate coaching stops at University of St. Francis (2015-16, 2005-06), University of Texas at San Antonio (2011-13), Midwestern State University (2008-11) and Northwestern State University (2006). Jones’s high school career includes head coaching stops at St. Augustine High School (New Orleans) and Edna Karr High School (New Orleans) and assistant coaching jobs at Reagan High School (Houston) and Clark High School (New Orleans). He also worked in scouting and football development at the National Football League in London.
Jones played collegiate football at University of Louisiana-Monroe from 1995-1999 where he earned a degree in general studies.
