Mary Haridin-Baylor Athletics

Olanda James is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Cru. He returned as the Recruiting Coordinator and Operations Assistant in April of 2018 after serving as an on-field assistant during the 2016 season.
 
James returned after serving as the Assistant Director of Football Operations, Player Development and Recruiting Assistant, with 2017 FCS Semi-Finalist South Dakota State University as an intern.
 
James is a 2014 graduate of Trident University International and graduated in 2017 with his Master’s in Sport Management at the University of Tennessee. He served 25 years in the U.S. Army as a Medic and Health Care Supervisor and served on humanitarian and wartime deployments. James played Semi-Pro football for the San Antonio Chargers and coached for the Green Bay Blizzard of the Indoor Football League, Bearden High School (TN), two Semi-Pro teams and with six different youth football programs. James is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and has three children and eight grandchildren.
