Colby is a biology student at UMHB. He was a football, track and field and powerlifting athlete at Seminole HIgh School, where he was an all-district honoree. Colby also competed in FFA Landscape/Nursery, where he was a three-time state qualifier. Colby is the son of Jessica Sanders.
