Gibson is studying supply chain management at UMHB. He competed in football and track at Round Rock High School, where he earned all-district honors as a punter. Gibson was also a state qualifier in track with regional and district championships in the 4x200, holding the school record for that event. Gibson is the son of Stephen Granger and Dara Harshaw.
