Kono is an exercise and sport science student at UMHB. He participated in football and track at Canyon High School. Kono was an all-district selection and defensive MVP. He also earned academic all-district honors and was a member of the Honor Roll. Kono is the son of William Rogers and Tamara Tilley-Rogers.
