Mary Haridin-Baylor Athletics

Zane is a health science major at UMHB. He played football and baseball at Albany Senior High, earning seven total varsity letters. Zane was a decorated football player at Albany, earning multiple awards including 2A DII UIL State Football Championship Defensive MVP. He was also a three-time all-state selection, two-time Offensive Lineman of the Year and collected five first-team all-district awards. Zane was also the District Newcomer of the Year, earning multiple more awards as both an offensive lineman and defensive lineman. Zane was also a two-time District MVP in baseball with four Big Country Preps awards and three all-district selections. He helped the Albany Lions to a pair of state championships in football and three regional trips in baseball. He also served as the Student Council Secretary and was a two-time national qualifier in Instructional Video Design through FCCLA, and participated in One Act Play and FFA. He is the son of Brian and Dee Dee Waggoner.
