Biography
2016-17: Honorable Mention All-West Division … started in all 26 games … led the Cru in three-point percentage (.381) and assists (83) … scored a season-high 36 points at Schreiner (Nov. 22) … averaged 13.5 points per game … added 112 rebounds, 83 assists and 23 steals. 2015-16: Played in 14 games … shot .441 with 83 points on the year … added 29 rebounds, 11 assists and six steals ... had a season-high 24 points vs. Hardin-Simmons (Feb. 20th). 2014-15: Played in 16 games with eight starts … averaged 13.9 minutes per contest … shot .800 from the free throw line (12-15) … added 27 rebounds, 21 assists and three steals … totaled 32 points on the year.
Braden is an exercise and sport science major at UMHB and hopes to become a high school basketball coach. He participated in basketball, track and cross country at Belton High School, where he earned all-district honors in all three sports. Braden is the son of Jeff and Shannon Hammond.
