Alex Nixon is in his fifth year with UMHB. 

Nixon was the head coach at Wichita Falls Notre Dame from 2007-2010 after spending two seasons as an assistant there. He led that team to a pair of playoff appearances and a district championship in 2010. His coaching resume also includes two years as a student assistant at Midwestern State University. Nixon's coaching awards include District Coach of the Year, TABC Coach of the Year and the Don Coleman Award for outstanding coaching.
