Dorian returns to the Cru after sitting out most of last season. He has a good shot of claiming a starting job in the front-court this year. 2010-11: Dorian started the first two games before sitting out the rest of the season. He averaged 8.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Dorian scored a season-high nine points in the opener against Southwestern and grabbed seven rebounds in both games. 2009-10: Dorian played in 28 games and earned a spot on the West Division All-Freshman Team. He averaged 2.5 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. Dorian added 11 assists, 11 blocked shots and six steals. He scored a season-high seven points against Trinity and grabbed a season-best seven rebounds against Mississippi College. High School: Dorian was an All-District and All-County basketball player at Pearland High School. He also lettered in football. Personal: Dorian is the son of Satarro and Alan Purnell. He was born July 20, 1991 and is majoring in exercise and sport science at UMHB.
