2012-13: Started in all 33 games … led the Cru in free throws made (120), attempted (169), assists (115) and minutes (1054) … totaled 432 points for a 13.1 game average … averaged 31.9 minutes per contest … added 46 steals.  2011-12: Played in 28 games, starting 11 ... Averaged 8.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest ... Added 65 assists and 46 steals. 2010-11: Started 10 games and played in 30 … averaged 8.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest ... Added 42 assists and 38 steals.
 
James is studying Business Management at UMHB. He was a two-year basketball letterman at College Park High School, where he was named all-county. James was named Second Team All-West Division last season and is the son of Elston and Catherine Allen.

James chose UMHB because he wanted to play basketball here. His favorite movie is Coach Carter and his favorite television shows are Teen Wolf and The Walking Dead. James enjoys playing video games when he’s not on the court. His favorite professional sports team is the Oklahoma City Thunder and his favorite professional athlete is Kevin Durant. Most people don’t know that James is left-handed. He credits his parents as having the biggest influence on him as a person and an athlete.
