Biography

Michael is a tall, strong player who has been a top frontcourt reserve the past two years after battling injuries for the previous two seasons. He is healthy again this season and will compete for a larger role. 2010-11: Michael started one game and played in 15. He averaged 1.1 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He scored a season-high four points twice and grabbed six rebounds against Howard Payne. Michael also blocked seven shots during the season. 2009-10: Michael appeared in four games as a reserve center. He averaged 0.5 points per game. 2007-09: Michael sat out two seasons with injuries. He received a medical hardship waiver for one of the seasons. High School: Michael played his high school basketball at Eula High School. He also lettered in football there. Personal: Michael is the son of Charlene and Jess Archa. He was born March 22, 1989 and is majoring in criminal justice at UMHB.
